Taking Action!

It’s time to Take Action!

We have gone through the process of finding a goal, building a skeleton, performing research on methods to move forward and have put some meat on the bones of our skeleton with details of how we will work our plan.

Many folks are great planners but fall short when it comes to execution. Without execution nothing happens. It is natural to have questions about taking action. The great, “What if…” question. There will always be things we don’t know. None of us can see the future. None of us can eliminate every doubt. If we have done our homework though, putting the time and effort necessary into research and thought, we can be reasonably sure our plan is good and we can take action.

So let’s get going. Go to your pantry, refrigerator and freezer and throw out all that processed food. Get rid of all those cookies, chips, crackers, candies, corn syrup products, sugar filled cereal, white bread, ice cream, coffee creamers, pop, alcohol, etc. They are NOT on our plan to get healthy! We can’t put them in our body if we want to reach our goal of improving our health. Our body was not made to run on this stuff. Find out where you can get good quality meat, seafood, fruit and vegetables. Fill your kitchen with these things.

Apply what you’ve learned in how to prepare your food. There are healthy ways and poor, unhealthy ways. Eat and drink at the proper times during the day. Arrange your schedule so you can get in the exercise your body needs.

Once you begin taking action you will notice success. Results start happening! Now we want to monitor whatever results we are getting and analyze these results. Is our body reacting the way we want? If so, our plan is working as we hoped. If not, we then need to make adjustment to our plan and take new action. We will get new results from our adjusted action which we then want to analyze.

Plan… Act… Review… Adjust

The process is the same for health, relationships, hobby, job, business, civic engagement, church involvement, or anything else. Make your plan, act on your plan, review the results you are getting and make adjustments to your plan. Repeat. It is a continual cycle. We will never have the perfect and complete plan. Life changes. Circumstances change. Society changes. Technology changes. Everything changes.
